What's the proper way to brush your teeth?

I've heard of many other ways, but what's the actual proper one? What's the proper way to brush your teeth?
Actually there are several ';dentist and hygienist'; approved methods of tooth brushing. We teach our patients the different methods based on their individual needs. The easiest one is where you use small circular strokes covering all of the tooth surfaces as well as massaging the gum tissue. You ALWAYS want to use a soft toothbrush. As the harder ones are bad for your enamel and gums. Electric toothbrushes are great, they allow you to be lazy, put the brush to your tooth and it does most of the work all you have to do is move it in your mouth. Make sure you floss everyday this is just as important as brushing your teeth as floss can reach the areas where your brush can't.What's the proper way to brush your teeth?
floss first, then brush
brush ur teeth for 2-3 min.
Use an electric brush with ultrasound, then I agree with all the other answerers.
Supposed to do almost a ';sweeping'; motion away from your gums. Well, that's what my dentist tells me to do but I never do it, I just do the back-and-forth motion then up-and-down to get the harder to reach spots.
Brush up and down in the front and back

brush with circular motions on the gums

end witha quick stroke of the tongue to wipe the bacteria that cause illness or bad breath

you need a minimum of two minutes and try to reach the hard-to-reach places in the back as well
