What's the best to get your toddler to want to brush his/her teeth?

My daughter hates brushing her teeth. She is more interested in eating the bubble gum flavor toothpaste than brushing her teeth. She fights me with all of her strength when I try to brush her teeth. How can I get her to like to brush her teeth? Please help. What's the best to get your toddler to want to brush his/her teeth?
We give out and also use for our kids these finger brushes. They fit snuggly on your pointer finger and have a tiny soft brush head. You have to do it consistently twice a day. Eventually they will want to do it themselves. Then ya know its time to get them their own brush. You really need to brush your kids teeth for them from 9months to 6 yrs. old, Regaurdless of weather they try to brush their own teeth because they lack the dexterity. After 6 yrs they lack the motivation. Be sure to start them with Gel, not paste. What's the best to get your toddler to want to brush his/her teeth?
Tell her its a game, and that big girls always brush their teeth. Reward her with a treat, but not food, maybe a new hair barette, or new doll clothes.
Set up a mirror at her heighth and make it something you two do together instead of something you do to her. Some people feel very violated when others ';penetrate'; their mouths, and simply hate that.

Also, go to a health food store and buy a dentrifice that isn't candy flavored.
just a little lie- If you don't brush your teeth they will get all icky and get holes in them and fall out and you'll never be able to eat solids again. Like candys.
Try the pretty little toothbrushes they sell in pathmark or even shoprite. You can even buy the electric ones my children love them they are cute an inexpensive.
