Am I suppose to dip my brush with oil paint INSIDE the bottle of mineral spirits?

I know I should remove excess paint, but then what? dip it in the bottle or pour some out into a seperate dish and use that?Am I suppose to dip my brush with oil paint INSIDE the bottle of mineral spirits?
Mineral spirits help spread the color, so you want a small container with a lid. I put a piece of window screen in the bottom of the contaimer, so the brush doesn't sit in the muck (paint) that biulds up in the bottom .
