Well you should do morning %26amp; night but if you have to pick one i would pick morning because then you can get rid of the morning breath.Whats the best time to brush your teeth?

o When you have completed the cheek side of your top and bottom teeth, brush the side that faces your tongue on the top and bottom teeth in the same way.
o Brush the flat, chewing surfaces of your top and bottom teeth. These surfaces have many deep grooves where germs can “hide out.” Brush your tongue when you finish brushing your teeth to help your mouth feel fresher. To maintain the health of your teeth and gums, clean in between your teeth with dental floss after toothbrushing.
Naturally, twice (or more) is better, but if you're only going to brush once, it's best to do it in the morning. Bacteria have a field day in there while you're sleeping, and you produce less saliva to wash it away naturally. Brushing in the morning reduces those bacteria.
Besides, who wants to work with someone with all-day morning breath? Yuck!
Brush your teeth along with flossing, and mouth wash in the morning, after you eat, and right before you go to bed. But another important aspect is to know where to brush your teeth. Do the front, the top, and the back of them. I used to only brush it once a day (if that) and then I started brushing more, and I really noticed a difference, and soon too!
Well I would say night for your teeth, but, morning for anyone who has to smell your breath...is it that hard to spend 2 minutes???...why not just get dentures, then you can clean them while you sleep.

Apart from that,brush as many times as you want,it will do more good than harm.Chew gum to produce saliva which will neutralize acid which causes tooth decay

Brush at least once every 12 hours. It doesn't matter what time that is, if you have an irregular routine. Otherwise brush when you wake up and before you go to bed. But brushing once a day clearly is not enough and you may get cavities because of that. Mouthwashes are used when your breath feels bad, between the brushing interval, like as soon as you wake up. Flossing should be done at least once a day. It is not required to brush after every meal -- thats unnecessary, but theres no harm in doing it. As long as you brush at least twice a day your teeth are safe from cavities. And most important, go to dentist every 6 months for a cleaning even if you have no dental problems. If chronically bad breath persists despite brushing at least twice a day and using mouthwash too, then you need to see a dentist.

Since you said only once a day, I would say brush in the Morning.
Sure brushing at night does more to prevent cavities from forming while you sleep, but since you are only brushing once a day, i assume its not a huge deal what your over all oral health is.
So, for the benefit of all people you come in contact with in a day, brush in the morning so you have fresher breather and whiter teeth.
Also, if you want some plaque removal during the day, eat an apple, it usually helps. And normal cheddar block cheese helps fight bacteria in your mouth, so eat a piece if a lovely cheese platter happens to come buy your work area.
