Is it necessary to brush our teeth with toothpaste and brushes?

Is it necessary to brush our teeth with toothpaste and brushes or is there a ';natural'; way that God intended for us to clean our teeth. To be more precise, is eating an apple to clean your teeth an adequate substitute for brushing your teeth? Or is there any other ';natural'; way other than brushing? Thanks. Is it necessary to brush our teeth with toothpaste and brushes?
Use a neem leaf!

It is a natural way that is used commonly in India! Is it necessary to brush our teeth with toothpaste and brushes?
Eating an apple is not a sufficient substitute for brushing your teeth. An apple actually has quite a bit of sugar in it. The sugar serves as food for the bacteria in your mouth and the byproduct is cavity causing acid. A cup of pure apple juice has just as much sugar as an equal amount of a cola drink.
You could get away with using ';all natural'; techniques to clean you teeth if you were willing to eat an ';all natural'; diet. That means no soft drinks, sugar, white flour or refined carbohydrates of any kind. Raw fruits and vegetables, home milled whole grains and meat would need to be the only things on your menu.

Are you willing to do that?
Yes i believe so, i have never heard of anything else, My friend says it only natural for animals to clean their teeth whit out tooth brushing and tooth past, she says the can chew on dog bones.
I brush, but don't use a dentifrice. Brushing is as much for maintenance of gum health as it is for getting crud off your teeth. As for what god intended, that is unknowable and I don't care; god is not going to pay my dentist bill.
i would say so.

you can go without toothpaste and brushes but people in the long past during the ancient time lost their teeth when they were rather young because of damage and decay and generally had a much shorter life expectancy ... oral hygiene is considered an integral part of our health regime, if you want to live painlessly for longer.

apple is not enough, apple does not clean the gum and the gaps, and they contain sugar, the apple thing is a pitch invented by apple growers, although eating fruit/veg is good for you.
ok why don't you take a test.

go for one week without brushing your teeth conventially and try every other option. The only ones that might work are using mouthwash or water.
Who cares about the natural ways.

Just brush them.

Eating an apple is okay but it doesn't actually clean your teeth!
