Do you think letting him brush my hair for me?

is a good reward for for my bf for cleaning the house and putting up with my ball busting ways. I don't want him to get too spoiled.Do you think letting him brush my hair for me?
It is the best part of my day when I brush my wife's hair. Unless I pull it by accident, then it becomes the worst.Do you think letting him brush my hair for me?
what! sex is a good reward not brushing your hair, are you some crazed ';Wanna be princess'; girlfriend. Hate to say it, but you're going to get dumped.
I have also enjoyed being allowed to kiss/lick her feet as rewards from a Goddess.

And a few other very intimate rewards I probably shouldn't mention. ;)
no, let him shave you better...z

Can i get an air brush design on natural nails without getting the acrilics or soak-offs, any alternaties?

i dont think you can do that just do it with regular nail polishe in a nail salonCan i get an air brush design on natural nails without getting the acrilics or soak-offs, any alternaties?
Yes you can! Do realize that with an artifical surface such as acrylic or gel lasts longer for any polish or art design. When applying polish or art to the natural nail surface it doesn't seem to last as long and chip easier and that is because your body heat resinates through your nail causing the polish to expand and detract which then causes the surface to chip later. Just be sure to use a good top coat to protect it. Add another layer a few days later for that added protect and shine! With an artifical surface your body heat doesn't come through it and therefore it lasts longer. Just an FYI! But yes get your fingers and toes airbrushed, great for summer, and add some rhinestones for that added bling! Have fun with it!Can i get an air brush design on natural nails without getting the acrilics or soak-offs, any alternaties?
Yeah you can as long as your nails are long enough for the design to fit.
If your nails are long enough they can do airbrush designs, or art by hand. Anything that the tech can do to the acrylic or gel nails they can do with the natural nail, including 3-d designs. nail art as mentioned, and airbrushed as you desire. I am a nail tech and have performed these techniques on clients. All you have to do is ask. There is a new product that is out and some nail salons may not know about it, it's called enhanced nails, and it is for people that cannot wear acrylic nails but it looks like acrylic nails. You can find it in a nail-pro book. Generally only students of cosmetology, licensed nail techs, or licensed cosmetologist can get a hold of this book. Ask your nail tech about it if you are interested - Good Luck.

Does anybody know how to curl hair with a blow dryer and a round brush?

My hair won't curl with rollers, I don't have a curling iron, but I DO have a blow dryer and a round, cylindrical brush. How do I curl it?Does anybody know how to curl hair with a blow dryer and a round brush?
considering you dont have a curling iron...

when you style your hair with a round brush, always remember, never try to blow dry and style it when its really wet! towel dry your hair... until its a little damp. First put some sort of styling product, like moose all over, not too much though.Clip up your hair half up... the bottom half then you clip that in half.. till you have about an inch section to blow dry... you should blow dry with the brush curling under, or out whichever style is desired... keep doing each section until you are finished... drying from root to bottom in curling motion... (in each section you may have to keep runing the brush through your hair a few times to for it to dry and keep the curl.) you should use a light hairspry to keep the style...

if you decide you want curly hair... you did mention you had rollers.. you may have the wrong sized rollers for the length of your hair... that could be the problem, another problem may be that your not using any product.

if rolling while your hair is wet, try a moose before you put the rollers in... then once the rollers are all in, spray with hairspray.. wait till dry... take them out and run your hands through them..

if hot rollers, use Hot Sets by Redken as a styling product.

  • What is the best type of broom/brush to by for a beginner?

I would say first off to get a synthetic broom if you're starting. Hair brooms require more attention, and if you're just beginning then the difference between synthetic and hair will not be that significant. I would suggest the brand ';Brownie'; since they are generally affordable and good quality. You can find them at many curling retailers. What is the best type of broom/brush to by for a beginner?
I think all brooms are the same for everyone, it mostly depends on the ice condition.

8-Ender is a very good brand. What is the best type of broom/brush to by for a beginner?
    All brooms are okay...
any broom or brush is fine as long as it does it's job. no such thing as beginners broom/brush, more of a preference. for that you probably have to go through different kinds that suits you.....
    Dollar store, can't go wrong.
choose 1 that u feel comfortable with.

people usually buy the cheapest available and then upgrade as they get better

What brush from Sephora is like the MAC 109!?

I saw some youtubers using a 109 brush instead of a stippling brush and I wanna try it... so I was wondering if there is any brush at sephora that is similar to the MAC 109? :]

Thanks so much! What brush from Sephora is like the MAC 109!?
    I bought the cover fx 160 .

it's works like a CHARM . i have both . and the mac 109 does shed . the cover fx doesn't . i like the fact that it is white and not black . so i can SEE the product and how dirty the brush is getting .

it's actually a bit more expensive . by like 3 bucks or something . but it's been getting PERFECT reviews . i haven't read a bad one yet on it . which is partially why i bought it .

    here's the link

why don't you get the 109 brush from MAC? because i think Sephora brushes are more expensive.

and are you using it for liquid foundation? because i think i know which video your talking about.. and from my experience, that brush shed soooooo much with liquid. even after washing and conditioning it.
for liquid or powder foundation ?

Brush off the algae growing on coral ?

Lately I am having some trouble keeping the algae from growing on my Green Star Polyps. Someone suggested I use a soft brush toothbrush to brush some of it off when the lights are off and the polyps are pulled in. Will this work without damaging my coral ? There isn't a lot of algae but it is starting to out-compete my Star Polyps.Brush off the algae growing on coral ?
Make sure you have good flow going in the tank. and also make sure nothing is off balance. Using some type of phosphate remover will help. You can get things like ';chemi mats'; that removes phosphates, which reduces algae. I would also suggest actually taking a brush and scrubbing off the polyps. Basically if you are afraid to clean the polyps in fear it will kill them, you are letting more algae build up with in turn will take them over and kill them as well. At least if your trying there is a much better chance everything will work out. You would be surprised how much polyps can withstand. they are pretty hardy. They may not come out for a few days, but they most likely will recover. Once you get rid of the algae, add some hermit crabs or emerald crabs to keep the problem down. They wont get rid of an exsisting problem, but they can keep any new algae under wraps.Brush off the algae growing on coral ?
What type of algae is it? If it's micro-algae, I would increase the flow to keep the algae build-up off of the polyps. If it's macro-algae, then I would manually remove it with some tweezers.

Regular water changes and proper feeding proportions will help control control nuisance algae. If the problem persists, you may want to invest in a protein skimmer and/or phosphate reactor if you don't already have them. You can check out the link below for more information on marine algae control.

How many times should I brush my hair a day?!?

I want nice pretty hair but when i brush it my hair falls out!! What should I do?!How many times should I brush my hair a day?!?
It is totally normal to lose a lot of hairs each day. As far as how many times to brush, as few as possible to leave your hair smooth and tangle free. How many times should I brush my hair a day?!?
If you have medium/long type hair, use detangler then brush your hair starting from the very bottom and working your way up. Its best to brush your hair while its wet with some type of detangler because less hair falls out, rather then trying to brush your hair when its dry and tangled. Use this method at least 2 times a day.

    good luck!
first, switch to a fortilizing shampoo and conditioner, Pantene is my fav.

next to get soft hair, i would go for 100-200 brushes a day. DONT FORGET ABOUT THE THICKNESS OF YOUR HAIR!

if it gets easily tangled got for the whole 200. but make sure you prevent your hair falling out by not using bunches of Conditioner in the shower. remember: be careful and dont overdo it!

    GL!
use some de-tangling spray start at the ends and work your way up about three times a day if it still falls out then go to a salon and get advice at the counter
until the knots come out........ youll just damage it if you brush it any more

  • Why do people just brush mushrooms with a towel?

Don't you think its nasty that some people don't wash the mushrooms they eat? They just use a piece of cloth to wipe off the dirt. The mushrooms are grown in cow poop@Why do people just brush mushrooms with a towel?
Mushrooms are like sponges, cleaning them with lots of water they absorb it and get soggy and bland.

The best way is to remove grit by wiping with a damp paper towel or special soft mushroom brush. For a more thorough cleaning, swish the mushrooms very briefly in water, and then pat dry with paper towels.

Nowadays a lot of mushrooms are cultivated in pasteurized substrates and don`t come in contact with dirt.

Can a dentist tell if youve been smoking even if you havent done it for 10 days brush your teeth 10 times a da

Hello...Ok, here's the scoop on the issue you bring up..First, nicotine can build up between teeth where it's unlikely you will get to with a toothbrush no matter how often you brush...Also, nicotine can build up on your tongue and the roof of your mouth, both of which, along with the nicotine between the teeth will give off a tell-tale odor....And...chances of it just up and dissolving away in ten day's isn't likely. Good luck and I wish you well. Can a dentist tell if youve been smoking even if you havent done it for 10 days brush your teeth 10 times a da
how old are you? practitioners are not permitted by law to tell or suggest anything to someone's parents except regarding dental care. I mean, they cannot say they see evidence of your smoking. This might be noted in your chart and is confidential, even from your parents. Unless you live in a really small town and your family relative is your dentist, they will talk to you directly about findings like this (and you gotta smoke alot for years for it to stain your teeth, as far as your breath take a mint). so quit worrying. relaxCan a dentist tell if youve been smoking even if you havent done it for 10 days brush your teeth 10 times a da
If you've been doing it for a long time, yes. They will notice the decay and will be able to smell it on your breath (the smoke residue stays in your lungs).

could mean you don't clean them as often as you should. When ever i brush my teeth or clean my nose, blood comes out. What may be the reason?
    radiation poisoning

    cancer

    scurvy

loss of protein in the body

    bone displacement

    sensitive skin and gums

    immune system has gone

    immune system is low

    drugs (mainly poppers)

    gum disese
You have sensitive and delicate ventricles in your nose. You need to see your doctor.
bleeding teeth and gums are a sign of gum decease... get to a dentist... nasal bleeding might be a sign of high blood pressure or damaged nasal capillaries from ';snorting'; stuff...? ummm ? what have you been ';honking'; up your nose...?
    go see a doctor
blood from your gums may occur due to malnourished teeth. if you don't brush enough, your gums are weak, making them susceptible to gingivitis and other gum diseases. to minimize blood in the gums, start flossing. although your gums will start to bleed when you floss, in a week or two your gums will be strong and will stop bleeding.
I would guess anemia, but a sudden onset of bleeding like that might make me want to see a doctor, hopefully he/she knows what is going on.
well this is simplybecoz of weak blood vessels, it is not that big deal to keep thinking about, yet there is a cure for this yet u have then to check with a doctor
    Consult your doctor
You should go to your dentist. The bleeding may be due to chronic gingivitis or possibly periodontitis which is caused by poor home care. You need to make sure you are flossing and brushing regulary to get rid of the plaque which houses bacteria that irritates your gums and invades the connective tissue.

As far as the nose bleeding goes, I have no clue, but try drinking more water. You could just be dehydrated, but you should go to a doctor to get checked out.

I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Every time I brush my teeth I end up throwing up all I ate for breakfast. ?

I've never had this problem before. I was wondering if anyone could suggest something I could do to prevent this from happening? Is there any special paste that will help?I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Every time I brush my teeth I end up throwing up all I ate for breakfast. ?
I had that same problem with my daughter. Gag reflux. It was horrible. I am getting it with this one now too. :( There was nothing I could do to prevent it.I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Every time I brush my teeth I end up throwing up all I ate for breakfast. ?
Tom's of Maine apricot toothpaste has such a mild flavor you can barely taste it. Also, try using just your finger on your teeth, because the brush is probably gagging you. This worked for me at the beginning of my pregnancy. Good luck.
I have the same problem! I have had it all through this pregnancy. I actually stopped scrubbing the back of my tounge with the toothbrush.. Instead I have been using one of those tounge scrappers. They seem to help.. They aren't as thick.

    Congrats on the baby
Im 20 weeks and have the same problem! But, i brush first thing now before i eat so i can keep food down, then chew gum or something afterwards. Its not even the toothpaste that makes me puke, i dont know what it is though, very annoying.
oh i had this problem bad up until about 5 months i could do the front teeth but not the back . it is so weird it had nothing to do with the paste just the brush in my mouth . honestly i didn't brush until later at night i just used mouth wash instead
Oh...I was the same way. I ended up using a little bit of baking soda on my toothbrush with a little bit of mouthwash to coat it. I know it sounds gross but that is what worked for me. I was this way my whole pregnancy.
Then, and this may sound gross. But don't brush your teeth with toothpaste for the time being. Just use mouthwash. I know you may say ew,but it beats losing your breakfast lunch and/or dinner.
I would try brushing your teeth first and then eating breakfast. Personally that sometimes makes me gag but at least I don't throw up, there's nothing there! Hope it helps! Good luck!
no special paste but just try brushing really slow. I had the same problem and that is the only thing that worked.
trying using kids toothpaste. that helped me
if u brush your tong u may be going to far back. do u gag when pleasing ur man cuz if not the tooth brush is probly bigger. lol sorry im just kidding im prego too but that never happens to me

Was wondering how you clean your newborns bottle brush?

Hi new mommy here and was just wondering how you clean your newborns bottle brush and how often you replace it? I try to clean my newborns bottle after every use so my brush never really dries so i am just wondering how you clean yours or how often I should replace

it? Thanks in advance. Was wondering how you clean your newborns bottle brush?
One I hadn't really thought about. However, I rinse my bottles and put them all into a container I bought specifically for washing her bottles. I wash them up each evening in antibacterial washing up detergent and rinse them. The brush gets the same treatment and then is air dried until the next day. I have only replaced her brush once when it was starting to look worn and was getting a few different directions. My current brush is better quality and lasting longer. Was wondering how you clean your newborns bottle brush?
put it in the dishwasher every time you run the dishwasher.
Id just put it in the dishwasher and replace it every 2-3 months.
The one I had was dishwasher safe so I just threw it in the dishwasher..I replaced them about every 6 months.

Do you brush your teeth before breakfast or after breakfast?

or do you not brush your teeth at all?Do you brush your teeth before breakfast or after breakfast?
beforeDo you brush your teeth before breakfast or after breakfast?
Brushing your teeth before you eat breakfast can help to prevent the dental erosion that can wear away your teeth.

A recent survey by the Foundation found that over three-quarters of people ( 81%) were unaware that brushing their teeth after eating acidic food and drink can damage their teeth permanently.

Acidic foods and drinks, such as oranges, grapefruit and fruit juices that are often eaten at breakfast time, soften the enamel on your teeth.

Brushing immediately afterward wears the enamel away, and can cause dental erosion, which may lead to pain and extreme sensitivity in the teeth, and also lead to cosmetic problems.

The saliva in your mouth neutralises the acidity and restores its natural balance. However research has shown that this can take up to an hour.
Always before breakfast and then rinse after. Think about it ... brushing after means you're eating all the plaque (made up of food, bacteria and bacterial waste products) on your teeth ... to me that's kinda disgusting. Also the ingestion of plaque has been linked to hardening of the arteries (heard it from dentist). Some of you may think food tastes bad after you brush but you get used to it/don't eat right after you brush.

    Something to think about.
theres no use brushing your teeth before breakfast.

Look, if you brush your teeth before you sleep, theres no use to brush them before you eat breakfast.

And specially when your toothpaste has mint or some flavors,

it sucks eating while your mouth is so cold.

    LOGIC
Usually after breakfast unless I'm in a hurry.

People used to say to brush them before breakfast but I personally think it's better after eating, that way you clean out the food remains and have a fresh clean feeling in your mouth instead of whatever you ate.
I brush my teeth after breakfast. What's the point of brushing your teeth before you eat if your going to eat something after and all the food gets in your teeth anyway. That's why i brush mine after I eat to get all the crud out.
I brush before breakfast, to freshen my breathe before i talk to my family.

Then after breakfast i rinse my mouth, I don't like putting toothpaste on food i have between my teeth.
Sometimes it makes my food taste bad if I brush beforehand. but I occasionally do. I always brush afterwards, though.
After. My food tastes funny if I brush my teeth before. It also makes more sense to brush your teeth afterwards cause food and stuff may be stuck in between your teeth.
    After breakfast......................
    After breakfast
After breakfast, because it makes sense.
I brush mine after! To get out all of the breakfast remains but sometimes before when I have a small breakfast!
Hell, I just do it everytime I remember to do it.
    before breakfast
before- right when I wake up, so I can have a clean mouth before I eat anything.
before, brushing after breakfast can damage your teeth
    After :)
    Before
    after breakfast and before bed
After to get all my breakfast remains out of my teeth.
    After.
    after
After breakfast . . . although it doesn't taste very good if you had orange juice.
If I brush before bed night before, after breakfast
DEPENDS IF I HAVE GET READY WHEN I FIRST WAKE UP THEN BEFORE OTHER WISE AFTER.
    i do both l0l
Before because it feels disgusting when I wake up.
    after!

    sometimes both, before and after.
    after...who wouldnt brush there teeth!?!?!?!

  • Will this brush and primer work?

    hi,

I have just bough some paint and primer for my apartment walls which at the moment are new and have never been painted. Will this work?

The primer is from Robusto, its transparant and in dutch it is called 'Voorstrijk'... (I'm in holland).

The white paint i got is Dulux pure brilliant white. The thing i'm worried about is i've noticed the roller he sold me says 'special for oil based paint'... Does that mean it won't work with my latex dulux paint? Also, can i use the roller to apply this transparent primer stuff? ThanksWill this brush and primer work?
As long as the primer is latex or it says it will accept latex paint then you will be all right. as for the roller. you can use the roller, it may be made out of wool. instead of synthetic that's all.

Hair that is weak and thin, and my brush has almost as much as my head HELP?

I have long curly hair and it is thinning quickly. Every time I brush my hair, my hair brush is filled with broken hair. Is there anything that I can take to help with this? I am only 22 and do not want to be bald by the time I am thirty but at this rate it may happen.Hair that is weak and thin, and my brush has almost as much as my head HELP?
Ask your hair dresser, but what works for me is

I take Flax seed oil, and Vitamin D for supplements.

And once a week deep conditioning treatments on the hair itself.Hair that is weak and thin, and my brush has almost as much as my head HELP?
First I would limit how much you BRUSH your hair. Try a wide-tooth comb instead. Hair that is wet is very fragile and likely to break. I have naturally curly hair, too and my hair sheds a lot, also...but this is different than thinning.

Try Nioxxin. Great line. It is great...I use it even though I do not have the thinning issue. Also, try taking VITAMINS to strengthen your hair. Prenatal vitamins did wonders for my hair when I was pregnant and even now take them occasionally.

    Hope this helps.
Are you taking any medication that may be causing this hair loss. Start with a deep conditioning treatment every 4-6 weeks
there are a lot of shampoos out there that you can use to make your hair stronger if breakage is the problem.

there's one from Pantene that's called breakage defencethat is really good

    here's a link

    http://www.pantene.com/jsp/product/index鈥?/a>

if your hair just falls off your head without braking, don't panic!

we lose an average of 100-150 hairs a day
You need a professional hairstylist to help you. Since you said it is thinning quickly, I think you need help quickly. I could tell you to use apogee but you need someone who is a professional to steer you in the right direction. Consult one quickly.
Head massages are meant to stimlilate hair growth and make it stronger.

Also as a cheap hot oil treatment heating olive oil and applying to hair and leaving for about 30 mins- an hour will moisturuise hair.

But if you think you have hair loss instead of thinning then maybe you should go see a docter.
Go to the Doctor and act to have your thyroid checked. Just in case.
if you can go get a blood teat, make sure everything is o.k., and you can go to the health food store and get anestatol and vit b-6, my daughter had the stomach surgery, and started looseing her hair, I got that for her, and it really helped. I take silica get liquid, everyday, its for conective tissue and hair ande nails, its a little on the expensice sidem but its works great. go to your dr. first,
Silica vitamins helps repair hair and grow nails .. works for me
stop brushing it so much, then go to your doctor. You may have a medical condition which is causing this. Are you dieting? this can cause hair to fall out.
Try to find the resloved question about 'how do i make my hair stronger and thicker?' It should help =]

    Good luck!
I reccomend going to the doctors and pay a visit to the hairdressers x
how often do you brush your hair? Sometimes too much brushing or even washing it daily can cause hair to fall. So if your washing your hair everyday, try cutting back to twice or three times a week and see what happens. If not, change your shampoo.
well look for thing like head and shloders.....at...places...
Nioxin has several different formulas for your problem. It is a really good product and worth the money. All of the guys at the gym were using it, i know a few girls who do as well.
it is normal to loose at least a 100 strands of hair a day, that usually is one palm full of hair. However, you most likely have damaged hair, thus i recommend getting a shampoo that is helpful in treating damaged hair, Dove Shampoo for damaged hair is a good choice, i also recommend reducing the amount of conditioner you use. High amounts of Conditioner is known to increase hair loss. it is recommended for people with thin hair to use simply a pea size amount. remember, shampoo is for the scalp and conditioner is for the ends of the hair. simply use a pea size of conditioner on the ends of your hair. i also recommend laying off heated hair treatments, such as the blowdryer, hair straightner, curling iron, etc. simply brush your hair once after you shower and let your hair air dry. also i recommend you reduce the number of times you wash your hair to 3 times a week, as this can weaken your hair also. furthermore, do not brush your hair more than once a day until you feel your hair has returned to its original quality. most importantly do not stress about it, stress can also cause hair loss. I hope this is helpful, belive me you have nothing to worry about, it happens to everyone.
    balds are beutiful too.
Talk to the doctor, there is a prescription for that. I don't remember what it is called, but my mom used it about a year ago. She seemed to be pretty pleased with the results. She was in the same boat, well but in her 50's. Make sure you are getting your vitamins too. Good luck, and sorry I couldn't remember the name of it. I'll look online and get back to you if I find it.

How often should I clean my stippling brush (mac 187)?

I only use it for applying liquid foundation...Should I be cleaning it with my MAC brush cleanser after every SINGLE use? I only use it on one product which is the foundation. Or should I be cleaning it only twice a week? How often should I clean my stippling brush (mac 187)?
I'd clean it every other day. I find a clean brush makes a huge difference in the way the foundation goes on with the 187. I love that brush. How often should I clean my stippling brush (mac 187)?
For foundation brushes like the MAC 187, it's definetely best to clean it everyday because bacteria can build up. Everytime you're using the brush on your face, bacteria gets transfered. Then, the next day, you use the brush again and have more bacteria buildup.

I wouldn't recommend the MAC brush cleanser for MAC 187 because it's really dense, and will absorb too much brush cleanser %26amp; therefore, waste it.

I recommend using Johnson Baby Shampoo when cleaning 187 =)
Not really sure what I would recommend to you. There are so many products out there so what I end up doing is starting with the less expensive and trying out several products.I would check out the review site at http://www.brandsmakeup.com visit and read the reviews.

When using a texture with a brush on photoshop. How can I get (the texture) to stay its default colour?

Photoshop Textures, there are two methods of texture, an overlay as bumpmap, or a pattern used for brush,

What color/brand brush should I use if I have blue/pink undertones?

I have a pale complexion, and i was told i have blue and pink undertones...so I was wondering what color blush should I use if i just want a nice, glowing face or what brand.

Thanks :)What color/brand brush should I use if I have blue/pink undertones?
When you are pale with pink undertones you should keep to a sheer

    rose or pink blush.

Your best bet is to go to a department store that has large tester

units in the cosmetic department . You can apply blush until you find a color that gives you a glow without making you look like a clown.

For blush colors you should check the Lancome or Clinique lines.

Once you find a color that you like you can purchase an inexpensive

blush at the drug store instead of the $20.00 plus one at the department store. Invest in a blush brush from a beauty supply store

for proper application. Remember to apply under the cheek bone, from the back of the cheek, by the ear forward, not from the front backward. This will give you a more natural finish. Always do a side check and don't forget to blend. Blush lines are very unnatural. If you want your blush to stay in place and not fade you will need to apply a light coat of translucent/sheer powder before applying your blush. You should apply the powder lightly with a large powder brush and not a puff. Coty makes a very inexpensive loose translucent powder which is available in every drug store and has been around for about the past 100 years. A classic!

Find your blush color and you will find that the low dollar Wet and Wild cosmetics are a great source for color products.

For a sheer look you may want to try a cream blush. If you use a

cream blush you will need to remember to apply an oil free moisturizer or your skin will absorb all of the color out of a cream blush if you are the least bit dehydrated. All skin types need a moisturizer. The oily to keep from getting more oily and the dry of course.

Good luck in finding your glow! What color/brand brush should I use if I have blue/pink undertones?
    Use a light babydoll pink.

MAC has wonderful blushes, I would recommend Pink Swoon. :)

How long do I brush my teeth for.?

I eat four meals a day and brush my teeth after each one of those meals. Do I still brush my teeth for the entire three minutes or do minimize the time. How long do I brush my teeth for.?
According to the American Dental Association, you should brush your teeth twice a day. Brushing your teeth helps to remove plaque which causes tooth decay and can lead to gum disease.

Always use a soft bristled toothbrush with a toothpaste that contains fluoride. Make sure that the toothbrush fits inside of your mouth so that you can easily reach all areas. When brushing, use gentle back and forth strokes, brushing all sides of the teeth. Always brush your tongue to remove any bacteria and keep your breath fresh.

Note from my personal dentist: A good way to be sure you are brushing your teeth for the proper amount of time is to brush with the radio on. An average song is 3-4 minutes in length and that is the proper amount of time you should spend each time brushing your teeth.

Happy Brushing! How long do I brush my teeth for.?
You brush the buccal surface (the surface by your teeth and lips) in small circular motions and the occlusal surfaces (the part you bite with) back and forth for a total of two minutes. Don't forget to floss because food get stuck in between teeth. I was told in dental school to floss before brushing to loosen plaque and stuck-on food.
most people brush too hard and cause receding gums. i say cut back to two minutes and always brush away from the gums toward the end of the tooth
2-3 minutes will do as long as you make it QUALITY BRUSHING. Lleave no food debris in your mouth and throat. Brush in an up-down direction. Gargle thoroughly after applying the toothpaste. Consider this as a HABIT to ensure maximum DENTAL HYGIENE.
    It's simple, two minutes.
Two minutes a time is a good goal to shoot for. Don't forget the dental floss either 1x/day is usually sufficient with that.
three minutes... that is needed to get all teeth fully cleane
    about 1 minute
2 minutes is the average brushing time that the dentists recommend. :)
Unless you have braces two minutes should do. Its good that your brush four times a day but three times should do also. Sometimes brushing too much can cause gum irration and you don't want that.
for a minute i would say

If cavemen didnt brush their teeth, did all their teeth fall out?

What age did the average cavemen get to? (when i say cavemen, i have no idea which age i am referring to, presumably the oldest one around...) who only knows what category this question will go in, so please forgive wherever it ends up..If cavemen didnt brush their teeth, did all their teeth fall out?
    Interesting question. Thanks for asking.

Pre-civilisation bodies are rare, but i can tell you what is common sense and that is that ancient man had different life expectancies, in different areas but you can expect nomadic tribesmen to live to their early middle ages on average (thirty-thirty five) and to around seventy at the maximum and the luckiest (very rare). Now, i know a lot of people have said 20. But that simpy isn't tenable, not even for women, for whom childbirth and health problems add to high mortality all the way to recent times, but men's bodies in particular are very very hardy and men don't stop producing hormones like a crazy person until around thirty, it's biologically untenable that men would die in their twenties, rather, for those that lived through the hazardous childhood phase- the twenties would be a period of strength.

Whilst bodies are rare we have for example plenty of neanderthals living till their fourties, and we have lots of dead bodies of young children, and very young women, but what we are missing in both ancient man and ancestors, is a lot of bodies aged from over ten to under the late twenties, we don't even have enough women to say that childbirth was as hazardous for them as it was for women in later periods -so it's proof by obscurity, but i think it's still a good inference.

In the middle east, we have a lot of bodies, because they preserve very well in dry sand- from this we know that most peoples teeth wore down to a very low level by their 30's, in a sandy environment, the sand gets in all the food, which hastens the erosion of the teeth.

dental problems plagued people their whole lives, there was teeth-pulling and basic surgery even in ancient times- people died from tooth abscesses and mouth infections. It would be totally normal to get a more idiosyncratic mouth with teeth missing and crooked as one gets older.

We've got a tonne of surgical implements from Sumerians and ancient egyptians. Regular dental hygiene, for ancient peoples, consisted of flossing after meals with thin grass and drinking and swishing water. No dentist would recommend this as a sole practice, but you'll find that people even today in parts of the world with no daily dental care undertake such practices, even purely as aesthetics. The idea of freshening ones mouth after a meal can be found in the most ancient of cuisines. If cavemen didnt brush their teeth, did all their teeth fall out?
Surprisingly no. I've seen lots of archealogical digs on TV ';Time Team'; and ';Meet the Ancestors';, and have frankly been amazed at the quality of some of the skulls and their teeth.

I think the 'rot' set in with the advent of sugar in our general diet. Until about the period of the Industrial Revolution, only the rich could afford 'sugar' or 'honey' in their diet. The common folk (us) ate a diet high in vegetable matter and low in meat, but high in fish if we lived at the coast.

The tooth brush was almost unknown until well into the 18thC and then only available to folk who had money and even then only to folk who actually knew anything at all about oral hygene.

George Washington for example, had no teeth because all of them had been extracted over time due to decay caused by poor oral hygene. Cannot blame the people back then, they simply did not know what we know today and accepted it as part of normal life.

    http://www.fooooo.com/search.php?q=WITWI鈥?/a>
Well it depends on what part of the world they lived in. Some countries produce natural resources that are capable of cleaning their teeth. Along with their diet. They may not had ate that many sugars or other eatable foods that actually cause serious decay. But the answer to you question. I think properly early 30's.
Modern tooth decay is a by-product of our sweetened diets. The more refined sugar we eat the more acid bacteria are produced in our mouth.

A lot of damage to prehistoric teeth was down to a coarser diet. The more and harder you have to chew, the more it wears on your teeth.
I recently read a book about a caveman girl growing up. Most didn't live beyond late 20's, they had a very hard life. It described teeth pain, how they suffered with it until the abcessed ones made them sick %26amp; they died. This girl died at 15 while in child labor with her 2nd baby.
Believe it or not some kept their teeth, even though they didn't live that long. Bones have been found and their teeth were strong. They had a diet of lean meat and fruits pretty healthy, no preservatives, no complex carbs, grease or sugar.
maybe their teeth was much stronger compare to humans now .....they have to chew raw and hard foods so i guess their teeth is strong just not clean ....plus the bad breath .... but again good question though!! LOL got me thinking

p/s: break their teeth during accidents or their extremely strong wife punches them in the face LOL
Average age would have been a lot shorter than today and they probably died before all their teeth fell out.

Their diet would not have had all the refined sugar and carbohydrates that are so bad for our teeth.
Cavemen died before the age of 30. So it probably didn't matter much.

Or maybe they died because all their teeth fell out.

    LOL.
Cavemen didn't eat sugar or processed foods.
They rarely had any sugar, except for some honey once in a while
im sure they didnt have great dental health.

    lol!!

    : )
    They did not use sugar.

    Teeth lasted a long time.

If one hurt, they pulled it out.
    yes

    probably early 20s
some of them did. most of them were just really jacked up.
    Lol!!! Your question rocks!
how do we know cavemen didnt brush their teeth.

How do you brush your teeth?

circular motion, up and down, left and right or all?How do you brush your teeth?
well since i rarely do left and right u hoe lolHow do you brush your teeth?
Copied this off a web site but I'm in dental school and we teach the Modified Bass Method.

    ____

    Modified Bass Method

(only currently recommended technique)how to brush

This is widely excepted as the most effective measure for the removal of plaque around the gumline, this area being the most significant in the control of early and advanced gum disease.

Direct the brush towards the roots of the teeth at a 45潞 angle. Press lightly but not enough to bend the bristles and then gently, with short movements, brush back and forth in a vibratory type action.

This may seem a little more difficult behind (tongue/palate) the front teeth. If you use a pencil grip, it is easy to brush side-to-side in these areas.
i have braces, so i brush mine in circular motions, and up and down.
I only brush mine cicular while laying in a iron lung.
all, and everyway possible! :) but for me, my gums bleed easily so i do left to right on the top row. hope i helped :D
i do it in all those directions !

A separate blending brush for each pack of eyeshadows?

Hi! More makeup questions for ya! I bought a few Maybelline quad eyeshadow packs, in different shades. I also bought one blending brush. So let's say I want to use the purple shadows one day, and I blend with the brush, then the next day I want to wear the brown shades. Do I have to wash the brush before using it with the browns? Or will it even matter? Or should I buy a separate brush for each pack? $$$ Thanks!A separate blending brush for each pack of eyeshadows?
You should wash your brush before using it with the browns because if you use a darker color with your shading brush and you don't wash it, then there will be still remains of that dark eyeshadow on the shading brush. If you were to use it again, but on a lighter color, then, the darker color would show, but blended with the light color. If you want to blend a specific color, then it may come out to a different color you didn't expect.A separate blending brush for each pack of eyeshadows?
Just spray a little brush cleaner on it and wipe it off on a towel.

Does anyone know a sure/ no fail way of trying to get my sisterinlaw to brush her teeth?

Help! She has terrible oral Hygiene. We all brush our teeth daily, even sometimes I forget to floss, but she doesn't brush her teeth at all, maybe once every 2 weeks. She already has serious gum disease and hyperplasia. We have a very large family and we all are really concerned. She is 25 yrs old. Any advice, ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanx.Does anyone know a sure/ no fail way of trying to get my sisterinlaw to brush her teeth?
She has a problem that needs to be addressed with a lot of sensitivity and caring. As much as it bothers you to see her with a yucky mouth and wiffy breath, it will just hurt her if you attack her for it. I don't know about her past but I know for myself, I grew up in a family that neglected to teach me the proper routine of hygene. And a lifetime of problem can not be fixed overnight. She needs to relearn an entire new daily routine which could take months and months of dedication and effort which she has to want to do. So unless she is willing to change and has the (non condeming) daily support of a friend who loves her, she may not change. Please just love her as she is, and give her the time she needs.Does anyone know a sure/ no fail way of trying to get my sisterinlaw to brush her teeth?
Someone should sit down and explain to her how often she should brush her teeth
She is who she is. Unless you're her husband, there's no way to bring it up without causing an international incident. I know I wouldn't take hygiene advice from my husband's family, only from him.
if she is normal mentally she shoul listen to you.

take an appointment from a family dentist...tell him in advance the problem....tell him to advice her with a promise to see her next week with clean teeth..and make sure she had been cleaning her teeth regularly......doctor should tell how dangerous is it going to get...and so on.
oh my goodness. a 25 year old should know why to take care of her teeth.obviously, she doesn't care enough about the consequences.( if she is mentally challenged, then someone needs to have a serious talk with her.)
give her a slight case of food poisoning and then when she gets better convince her she got sick because of the bacteria in her mouth.. in reality it CAN actually get you sick enough in the long run to kill you. if you never tell her about the food poisoning, and convince her that leaving her teeth to rot like that is going to cause that same thing... she'll wise up and start brushing.

would be pretty dumb of her to die from an infection due to poor oral hygiene in this day and age.
wait until she's asleep, then brush them for her
just get her to read articles on how bad oral care affects every area of your life. or just tell her that she stinks and needs to brush!
WHY SHE DONT BRUSH HER TEETH? AND I DONT KNOW WHAT 2 SAY ABOUT THAT
well maybe she was raised with poor hygiene? does she go to the dentist? has anyone brought the issue up to her before? obviously she is plenty old enough to know better and if it doesnt bother her then she may never change this
explain to her that your teeth are the most poisons of your body and if she dont start taking care of them then they will start to get absest and rot and the pioson from it will go in her blood stream and possibly kill her. it happen to me i had to get mine pulled out and the doctor said that if i hadnt done it that i wouldnt lived a year cause it was already in my stream
Send her an anonymous letter explaining how attractive she is...wonderful personality etc...BUT that she has horrible bad breath and that you didn't know any other way to tell her.

Then sign it with a males name.
Show her pictures of peoples' mouths and teeth online, the ones that are really gross from years of neglect. That would be a good way to change her mind. Another way which is meaner though, is to be blunt and say something along the lines of how nice/pretty she is, etc, except for the fact that she is coming off as very unattractive because people see and smell her mouth/teeth. Usually a good way to get someone to change their personal habits is to make them feel self conscious about it. Not the nicest way like I said, but very effective
    Contrary to what you may think you cannot change a person. You just have to realise that when someone has made up their mind neither what you nor anyone else does can really sway her. You may find that if you advice to brush her teeth she may get deeply offended and a bit sad, but sometimes its kinder to be cruel. Just give it to her lightly, like ';You are such a beautiful girl, I feel that if you took more care of yourself (brushing your teeth) you won't have so much problems with your gums and teeth';

Or you can just do a little research and take her to a dentist so that he can scare her with all the goary facts.
get her the toothpaste that is very easy on the gums, i forget the name , something like senseodine and tell her i have gum cancer from not brushing cause it hurt me, now i have no teeth or smile.

Which concealer brush would you recommend?

I'm thinking of buying a brush for cream concealer. The thing is, I'm clueless as to what brushes do the job well. Do you know of any stores in Canada that sell great concealer brushes? It would be very helpful if you could tell me the name of the brush, where to buy it and what the cons/pro's are. Much appreciated!Which concealer brush would you recommend?
Honest answer: ur fingers are the best brush, esp for concealer. The warmth from your fingers melts the concealer a bit, makes it easier to blend. Skip the brush money. A concealer brush is not really necessary and some of the ebst makeup artists I've been to didnt use one.Which concealer brush would you recommend?
Sephora brushes can be pricey but

they get the job done real well .

Should I brush right after using Crest Whitestrips?

I got some Crest Whitestrips and I've never used them before. I read over all the directions and it says not to brush my teeth immediately before using them but it says nothing about whether or not I should brush my teeth after using them. If I don't brush after taking the strips out than how long should I wait and would it be okay to at least rinse?Should I brush right after using Crest Whitestrips?
Don't brush ,but rinse well. wait at least 30 min to brush.Should I brush right after using Crest Whitestrips?
If you have leftover gel or whatever it is OK to brush.

Change default brush location in Photoshop CS4?

I'd like to change the default location for brushes in Photoshop to a folder outside of the Presets folder that shipped with the program, but I can't seem to find a way to do it.

The Folder I want to use is My Documents%26gt;Photoshop Brushes, and I am doing this in the even of a crash or something that would cause me to need to reinstall Photoshop.

Can anyone offer up any assistance?

Many thanks!Change default brush location in Photoshop CS4?
Why not just copy them there instead (brushes take up very little space), then that way you have a true back up and you wont have to deal with any riff-raff when installing new brushes.

Is it ok to Gargle with peroxide and brush your teeth with baking soda to whitening them?

My mom said i can use those if i want to whiten my teeth, she does it and her teeth are really white...does anyone know if its bad or not??Is it ok to Gargle with peroxide and brush your teeth with baking soda to whitening them?
It is OK to brush your teeth with a bit of baking soda( I recommend only once a day), but there toothpaste that use baking soda, and have that nice minty fresh taste we have become used to. (My favorite is Arm %26amp; Hammer toothpaste) I haven't professionally whitened my teeth, I drink wine and coffee, and I am very happy with the results)

I DON'T recommend gargling with peroxide unless you have a cut or ulcer that requires short periods of treatment. Peroxide is not recommended for daily use, and it has been proven to cause cancer when used for long periods of time.Is it ok to Gargle with peroxide and brush your teeth with baking soda to whitening them?
Peroxide is an oxidizer and slightly weakens your teeth. It does however whiten them very well if you brush or gargle with it quickly. Just remember to always brush with flouride toothpaste immediately after to strengthen your teeth back. (Flouride teeth are stronger than natural teeth). As for cancer causing peroxide has not been shown to cause cancer in the doses used for mouth care.
I do it all the time. It can't hurt you and the peroxide will help you avoid any gum disease also. I'm not sure if it will whiten like the modern whitening products, but soda snd peroxide are cheap and won't hurt you.
MUM WAS CORRECT, GARGLE W/IT BUT DON'T SWALLOW.
i've gargled with peroxide before and theres nothing wrong with it. its a germ killer, and as long as you dont swallow it; it cant harm you. i-personally- think that it works quit well, but i've never brushed my teeth with baking soda before..lol! you might wanna read the back of the box first and make sure it cant hurt you!! good-luck.
Hydrogen Peroxide is toxic. It says on the outside of the bottle that it should be used only on the outer body. Using baking soda to whiten your teeth will help, but there are toothpastes out there that will do that for you so you can avoid the taste of the baking soda.
I don't know any facts for sure, however I grew up gargling with peroxide and brushing with baking soda and I still use it today. Not everyday, though. But at least 3 times a week. I use 'regular' toothpaste and gargle the other days. My mom and sister still do the same today. It has not harmed my teeth or gums at all and my dentist states that my full mouth is healthy.
It is better to use Listerine to gargle. It kills germs.
well...the baking soda is pretty abrasive. i wouldn't use that too much, you'll be removing enamel.

Does anyone know to clean a silcone basting brush? Cant seem to get the food smell out!?

I soak mine in white vinegar. It breaks down the grease and anything like BBQ sauce that I basted with. Then I take my dish brush and ';comb'; out any solids and particles, rinse and let air dry. I also put it in the dishwasher on the top rack about every 3 times I use it and set it to the short cycle and air dry.Does anyone know to clean a silcone basting brush? Cant seem to get the food smell out!?
Mix vinegar and lemon juice in a bowl and let it soak overnight, then clean with good ole soap and water.Does anyone know to clean a silcone basting brush? Cant seem to get the food smell out!?
Try with a tablespoonful of white wine vinegar %26amp; a small drop of fresh lemon juice. This works well
Vinegar and baking soda is a potent cleaning combination.

Edit: Now I read the first two- great minds think alike- we all have success with vinegar!!!
Try putting it in the dishwasher.
Buy a product called';Natures Miracle'; sold in pet stores and Feed %26amp; Grains..it's a clear liquid designed to elimanate all ordors and stains.

Pour some into a glass and put the brush in it and let sit for 1 hour..then wash. The problem should be gone.

What gives more sheer coverage, using a foundation brush or sponge?

i used to use a foundation brush but i use a sponge now :) i find that with the brush, id have to use my hand afterwoods because it wouldnt blend it properly in certain places, with a sponge on the other hand i find that the foundation has more coverage and its easier to blend and work with. in the end it all really comes down to preference =-] hope i helpedWhat gives more sheer coverage, using a foundation brush or sponge?
really try a brush,it is just like when everyone started using the sponge it was ';new'; to them so they didn't like it or said it didn't cover right.if you just learn to blend the right way you will love the brush and you don't use half as much of product. The sponge soaks alot of your product up Report Abuse
What gives more sheer coverage, using a foundation brush or sponge?
A brush most definitely ......You just need to learn to blend with it and it is very easy to learn. Plus I find that by using a brush, I do not use as much product which is great for my face and my wallet :)

    Hope this was helpful ~~~

  • Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?

i cant answer because im never awake for breakfast or when i am, im always late, bummer.Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?
Usually after because sometimes it makes the food taste funny after you brush your teeth, depending what you eat though i guess. But sometimes if i wake up and my teeth feel gross or my breath is bad i'll brush them first.

xoxo.Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?
I brush my teeth as soon as I wake up. I always feel like my breaths smells like I have been sucking on a monkeys butt!.......LOL!.....I brush my teeth almost as soon as I open my eyes, then I go eat and then brush my teeth again.......LOL!

Why do people come to work and use the employee bathroom to shave and brush their teeth?

Shouldn't they be doing this at home? Why do people come to work and use the employee bathroom to shave and brush their teeth?
They could be worried about getting to work on time. However, if they are clocked in, they shouldn't be using company time to shave and brush teeth. Why do people come to work and use the employee bathroom to shave and brush their teeth?
Maybe they figure being late is worse than having to use a public bathroom to finish grooming. Unless they're leaving a mess or shirking their work responsibilities, I'd leave them alone. A lot of people brush their teeth between meals at work anyway. The shaving issue is more an issue of whether or not they leave their whiskers all over.
Shaving is a bit weird, never heard of that. But what's wrong with brushing your teeth after lunch?Would you rather be subjected to bad breath?
I've seen friends doing this at school, too. Maybe they're proving that they have a true care for their health and grooming. ;)
Maybe there is not enough time to do this at home in their own bathrooms.
Ever think that they might not have a home?
to save on water and electric bills. why not?

What will happen if I do not brush/comb my hair after showering?

Will I achieve the beach wave look? What will happen if I do not brush/comb my hair after showering?
I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too

http://www.beautifulhamesha.com/Hair-Cle鈥?/a>What will happen if I do not brush/comb my hair after showering?
No, you'll achieve the rat nest look.

Comb your hair and let it air dry, then tussle with your fingers. Blow dryers are your enemy.
What you do is you brush your hair through before the shower and then afterwards you wait till it dries because when it is wet it obviously has a lot of tangles so when you brush it harshly, you loose a lot of hair...
    it will look all ';knotty';

if u want the ';beach'; look, comb hair, spray some product in your hair, then comb again, next drive around w/ your windows down and air blow it dry

Do you use human toothpaste to brush a dogs teeth or do you use special toothpaste?

I am glad to hear that you are considering brushing your dogs teeth. As many people don't know with brushing your dogs teeth every few days along with giving them dental treats you are helping with the prevention of dental disease which can cause many problems for your pet and tear a giant whole in your wallet.

Human toothpaste is toxic to dogs. A vet will have a few options for you on what you can use and some stores sell doggy toothpaste. From what I have gathered the toothpaste is just for taste. Its get your dog to allow you to brush his or her teeth without being giving a gross taste but rather something tasty.

You can brush their teeth with a soft child's toothbrush, gauze or a finger brush..gauze and finger brushes work best b/c it makes it easier for you to get further back on their teeth without having to struggle with your pet.Do you use human toothpaste to brush a dogs teeth or do you use special toothpaste?
I have a 4 month old puggle and there is a special toothpaste for them and u can get it from any petstores like petco, petsmart, or the vet. I don't know where u live so i don't know if u have those stores. DON'T USE HUMAN TOOTHPASTE ON THE DOG THEY WILL GET SICK!

    Hope i helped

ByeDo you use human toothpaste to brush a dogs teeth or do you use special toothpaste?
Dog toothpaste, and it really works.

Dogs swallow all the toothpaste. There is no rinsing, so it has to be edible, and human toothpaste is not edible.
dog- it's good for them and it's easier. I get peanut butter flavor and my dog loves getting her teeth brushed.

My vet said human toothpaste is not meant to be swallowed- so it's harmful for dogs.
    Dog toothpaste.

Human toothpaste is even toxic to people when swallowed, and a dog most definitely will swallow.
You use a special toothpaste, there are tons of different flavors you can buy them at any pet store.
Human toothpaste is harmful to dogs. Buy a special kind of doggie toothpaste at your local pet store.
Why are you brushing your dog's teeth? Between good food, rawhide chews, bones and Greenies, you don't need that!!
    I've heard of pedigree dentastix.

Good snack, and cleans dogs teeth.

    Two for one.
    Dog toothpaste. Never use human.

Do you know that there's even people who want us to make it a law you have to brush your teeth?

Is there no end to how many people think making a law against something they find offensive or unhealthy is not the way to go?

When, if you think ever, will people learn that health issues are best dealt with through education, not legislation?Do you know that there's even people who want us to make it a law you have to brush your teeth?

Some health issues are best dealt with through education, but not all. Would you abolish the FDA and let people take whatever drugs they want to, even if they have not been tested, and might be dangerous?
not a problem, I already brush my teeth
Yes I think that people should be required to bathe, brush their teeth and eat right. The human race will benefit from it. I also believe that laws should be that we are required to do it. We have laws for everything else.
How could they possibly monitor who brushes their teeth when. I'm sick of people telling me how to live my life, even if it is for the sake of my health. I hav to agree with you, informing people works much better than forcing people.
Well there are still laws on the books that make it unlawful for women to show their ankles....

    P.s. ';*batteries not included';...cute movie.
there is no way that law could pass.....are they going to come to our house and make sure we did it?
if they do that I'm moving to Mexico all the laws are getting to be to much and I brush my teeth 3+ times a day..........and then they are going to make it a law I have to wipe my @ss too......LOL..........................Pe鈥?have you ever forgot to brush your teeth? o now you have a fine and you have to pay???? that's Bull Sh!t...I'm sorry
sorry to disagree w/ you dude but thats good theyr makin a law to brush ur teeth. its nasty not to! what are you gonna stop brushing your teeth just to protest? u sound like ur against it! --

What's the best to get your toddler to want to brush his/her teeth?

My daughter hates brushing her teeth. She is more interested in eating the bubble gum flavor toothpaste than brushing her teeth. She fights me with all of her strength when I try to brush her teeth. How can I get her to like to brush her teeth? Please help. What's the best to get your toddler to want to brush his/her teeth?
We give out and also use for our kids these finger brushes. They fit snuggly on your pointer finger and have a tiny soft brush head. You have to do it consistently twice a day. Eventually they will want to do it themselves. Then ya know its time to get them their own brush. You really need to brush your kids teeth for them from 9months to 6 yrs. old, Regaurdless of weather they try to brush their own teeth because they lack the dexterity. After 6 yrs they lack the motivation. Be sure to start them with Gel, not paste. What's the best to get your toddler to want to brush his/her teeth?
Tell her its a game, and that big girls always brush their teeth. Reward her with a treat, but not food, maybe a new hair barette, or new doll clothes.
Set up a mirror at her heighth and make it something you two do together instead of something you do to her. Some people feel very violated when others ';penetrate'; their mouths, and simply hate that.

Also, go to a health food store and buy a dentrifice that isn't candy flavored.
just a little lie- If you don't brush your teeth they will get all icky and get holes in them and fall out and you'll never be able to eat solids again. Like candys.
Try the pretty little toothbrushes they sell in pathmark or even shoprite. You can even buy the electric ones my children love them they are cute an inexpensive.

  • How often do you brush african american hair?

my hair is constantly breaking. i do get relaxers every 6 - 8 weeks with a trim. i sleep with my hair tied up at night also.

i wonder if the breakage is from brushing my hair... when exactly should i brush or comb it? wet or dry?

could there be any other reasons for the breakage? How often do you brush african american hair?
Youre not gonna wanna hear this....but...your breakage is more than likely from your perm. Think about it, how many African American women with perms do you know who dont have breakage? Hair is not meant to withstand chemicals like that.

As for brushing, just make sure you only do it when its dry, and when you comb, use a wide tooth rather than small tooth. How often do you brush african american hair?
you should wrap ur hair with a silk scarf at night instead of tieing up

the more you have it tied up the more its going to break

try wearing your hair out too instead tied up
Everyday here try this. Use rubber tiped brushes It doesn't pull out as much hair and proactive hair products it works really well get the oil it works.

    Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it could b from yo perms but also if u use constant heat like pressin combs and flat irons on yo hair everyday it can break off das wat happend to ma bangs :(

It gets much cleaner that way, to the extent that I've noticed I don't get sick quite as often.

Is using a facial brush good for acne or oily skin?

I recently purchased a facial brush, yet not sure if it is good for acne skin. please helpIs using a facial brush good for acne or oily skin?
I don't believe that using a facial is all that good for a face with acne. Even facial brushes tend to scratch and irritate the surface of your skin and can at times irritate the acne and make it worse. Instead, try using a soft face cloth with Oil of Olay Dual Action Cleanser and Scrub. This stuff is fantastic! It runs under $7 at Target stores %26amp; $8 at the CVS store. I think you'll be happier with this method. Remember, it's all hype - all these new products. That's how they get your money...use what's tried and true - soap %26amp; water.

Why is it advised not to share toth brush with an Hiv positive person?

You al claim that the virus gets killed once it is out of body. Then what is the problem with the toth brush even if it is having the infected blood.

Please, help me.Why is it advised not to share toth brush with an Hiv positive person?
Where is the claim that the virus is ';dead'; once it leaves the body??? The virus is transmitted when an infected person shares bodily fluid with the fluid of another person. The virus isn't magically dead if it leaves the body - it exists within the fluid. This fluid can remain on the bristles of the toothbrush and toothbrushes are notorious for penetrating the gum walls of the mouth thus proving an effective way to the person's bloodstream (the other person's fluid - blood)

Also note that small traces of fecal matter can also be found on a toothbrush that has been left out on the sink or somewhere close to an open toilet. If the toilet seat is open when you flush, then small amounts of fecal and urine matter can travel up through the air and land on convenient places - like an exposed toothbrush. I'm not saying all fecal matter has the HIV virus, but storing your toothbrush inside the cabinet and NOT letting ANYONE else use it - would prevent unnecessary infection from various pathogens.

More information on the subject and especially on transmission methods can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV#Transmi鈥?/a>Why is it advised not to share toth brush with an Hiv positive person?
HIV virus dosent immediately get killed once coming out from the body, so after brushing the teeth, if the saliva is still left in the tooth brush (even in small amounts that you can not see)and someone else uses that brush, the virus can go into that other person's mouth, body and blood, thus infecting the other person too.....so it is adviced not to share tooth brush with an HIV positive person....besides

sharing a tooth brush with any person is dirty!!!
Can a person get HIV from using someone's razor or toothbrush?

It is possible to get HIV from using someone ' s razor or toothbrush since these items can cause cuts and scrapes, and may contain blood from the infected person. It is wise to avoid sharing personal items that may come into contact with another person's blood.

There is one documented case of a child becoming HIV infected by sharing toothbrushes with parents who were both HIV infected. Transmission probably occurred from blood left on the toothbrushes.

How well does HIV survive outside the body?

Scientists and medical authorities agree that HIV does not survive well outside the body, making the possibility of environmental transmission remote. HIV is found in varying concentrations or amounts in blood, semen, vaginal fluid, breast milk, saliva, and tears. To obtain data on the survival of HIV, laboratory studies have required the use of artificially high concentrations of laboratory-grown virus. Although these unnatural concentrations of HIV can be kept alive for days or even weeks under precisely controlled and limited laboratory conditions, CDC studies have shown that drying of even these high concentrations of HIV reduces the amount of infectious virus by 90 to 99 percent within several hours. Since the HIV concentrations used in laboratory studies are much higher than those actually found in blood or other specimens, drying of HIV-infected human blood or other body fluids reduces the theoretical risk of environmental transmission to that which has been observed - essentially zero. Incorrect interpretations of conclusions drawn from laboratory studies have in some instances caused unnecessary alarm.

Results from laboratory studies should not be used to assess specific personal risk of infection because (1) the amount of virus studied is not found in human specimens or elsewhere in nature, and (2) no one has been identified as infected with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface. Additionally, HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

why would you want to use someone else toothbrush??????

plus i think? HIV has to be air born like 24 hrs before it dies... ( i think )
Any time you share ';body fluids'; with some one with HIV, you run the risk of getting the virus.

If you do not wear a condom, and refrain from ';french kissing'; your partner, you still may not be safe...

There are many ways to share fluids, crying and things like that.

I would go to a doctor and get checked immediately...

    I wish you well...

    Jesse
it isn't killed instantly once it leaves the body. I can take up to a week for the virus to die completely. So if someone uses a toothbruch daily it isnt going to be safe to use. Most people think it is the saliva that you don't want to come in to contact with there but it really is the blood. Alot of people have gum disease or brush too hard or whatever the case may be and then have blood on their brush and you DEFINATELY DO NOT want to come in contact with any form of HIV positive blood inside or outside of the body!
DONT do that pls.....it is advised not to share a tooth brush with everyone ohk? you shudnt share it with any1 and i think you shud follow that advise
DO NOT share anything with HIV Positive persons, Especially anything to do with bodliy functions.

    DON'T DO IT.
In the event there are cuts on the gums or abscessed tooth.
    my dear,

why... do you want to share your toothbrush to anybody else even if they dont have hiv's? dear, its a good hygienic practice not to share your toothbrush to anybody else... you are cleaning your own backyard, would you like your cleaner to be shared to anybody else...

and besides, its not advice because you can transfer hiv's mucous to mucous... which means if your toothbrush is not treated well, you might as well got an hiv... but take note, you'll need few more gallons of a person's saliva to be infected... would you wait to get to that situation?....

Does anyone brush their teeth while in the shower?Does anyone brush their teeth in the shower?
I don't. It takes too long to do it in there, besides I have other things I do in the shower: shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, shave, etc. I brush my teeth right after I get out of the shower, though.Does anyone brush their teeth in the shower?
Yes I brush my teeth, shave, and pee and doo doo all in the shower. I have for several years now. It saves time and everything is done in one area. It's a time saver in the mornings.

How to brush away your gums?

I have braces and it seems that my gums are getting very puffy how do I main tain them and make it go away? How to brush away your gums?
Your gums may be getting inflamed because you're not able to clean as well as before - when plaque builds up on your teeth, it can irritate your gums, causing swelling and bleeding.

Try brushing more often - say 3 times a day instead of 2. Make sure that when you're brushing, your brush isn't flat against your teeth - tilt it at a 45 degree angle, towards your gumline, to clean the part of the tooth that lies 2-3mm below the gum. You can also supplement your brushing with using mouthwash with an antibacterial action, eg Listerine.

Hope that helps! How to brush away your gums?
Usually puffy gums indicate inflammation which can be from infection. Do you floss at least once a day? If not, begin there. Flossing will help remove the plaque which contains bacteria that is irritating to the gums. And of course, brush thouroughly in the morn and at night. There is an ortho brush made just for people with braces to brush better around the brackets. Check out your local drug store for them!
they will get puffy, but after you get your braces off they should go away if not you will have to get surgery on your gums.

I never learned the exact science of flossing. do you floss BEFORE or AFTER your brush your teeth?

i'm guessing before?I never learned the exact science of flossing. do you floss BEFORE or AFTER your brush your teeth?
id say you floss before. cause then you can brush away all that stuff that you flossed outI never learned the exact science of flossing. do you floss BEFORE or AFTER your brush your teeth?
I don't know what you're supposed to do, but I floss after then I swish with Listerine. I try to get most of it first with the brush so the floss doesn't get so gross.

Edit: This article says it's debatable by dentists and there is no consensus. You aren't supposed to brush then floss then brush again however, because it's bad for your gums. The article also says it depends on the way you brush; back and forth or up and down. Here is a link to the article.

You floss BEFORE you brush, that opens the gaps a little and opens your gums a little, which is good. Then spend a good while brushing, then rinse with mouth was.
Before - so you can dislodge stuff that can then be removed by brushing.
Good question. I always floss before. That way I can brush away any loosened stuff and wash it down the sink after.
No, after. It helps get all the food between your teeth that brushing left behind.
    AFTER! :)
i think after to get any left over stuff.
before, you want to get all that yucky stuff out of your mouth.
well my moms a dentist and at the office they do it before
