Yes it is large and wide like the above said, but it is not like a blush brush - the bristles are very smooth and silky and come together at the tip. Hope that helps.
the brush part is about 1/2 in length with alot of tight thick hairs, usually tan colored not black, it's something you can use instead of a sponge, but the downside to the brush is, you have to wash it very ( almost after every use) frequently because it holds bacteria....why i perfer the sponge because you use it once and toss it!
Foundation brushes are usually flat wide brushes with high quality soft natural bristles for blending foundation.
